XDDD YEAH i got confused again too! but after checking some facts, "TAKIZAWA" is in fact Takki's surname. [reason 1:] Takki mentioned that he didnt used to like being called "Takki" cause thats what *other people used to call his dad* too (its weird to imagine now cause its his STEPDAD ><) and [reason 2:] SURNAME + then FIRST NAME is the correct way to address people in asia ^^ (asian culture is just so weird XDDD)

gosh. thanx Dithers for that article~ mahh i think its incredibly SWEET of him.

Now I know Takizawa Hideaki is a multi-layered, multi-faceted person. That's why he works in the entertainment industry. Bagay sya dun. With all that raw emotion (kahit sabihin mong it's so long ago, di maaalis yan) at least, meron syang paghuhugutan.

Pero wait. Di yun ang isyu: BAKIT WALANG VIDEO NA IKAW ANG SUMASAYAW TO HO SAMA? Link, link! I-Youtube na yan! Haha.

But I also do that pag masaya rin ako. Guilty. Di ako naniniwalang uncoordinated ka. But the dancing you described, naalala ko tuloy si Ralphie (AKA Suki ng Government bar hehe).

And again, if Takizawa isn't really his surname, so we should give him a nick based sa given name nya na Hideaki-- HEIDI?

Ay, Ate mo pala yun. Hehe

Thanks for the clarification on that one again, BON-chan. We always happen to come across same mind-boggling question everytime hahaha Maybe I should like make stickies on it on my computer *lol*

So that means that the news article could have mixed up 'TAKIZAWA' with 'HIDEAKI'?! Hmmm, I just had a thought about this which just made something clear--- i remember my cousin mentioning something like Japanese first names usually stands for something like 'TSUBASA' is to WINGS, 'HIKARU' is to LIGHT, 'MICHI' is to the unknown etc. and we know what 'TAKIZAWA' means right? (if not, check out SNUFFLES' blog's name) so that means it is the first name. IMAI and HIDEAKI are common Japanese surnames dakara the article was actually right on saying that 'HIDEAKI' is the surname of his stepdad. Oooops, im not contradicting your confirmation but looked like we are wrong?!?! So following what you said, his name should have been read normally as HIDEAKI TAKIZAWA. Well, anyways, thanks for looking it up still. You are my google fangal ^__^

You know my real name would really sound weird if it would go surnames first and then first name. It would literally translate to "not me" hahahaha WEEEIRRRD XD

MEL, are we talking from experience?

As in kahit viewing di na ako allowed? Minsan nga unknowingly, pag tayo ko sa area ko bigla akong nag-wa-wave wave nang paganun-ga-nun hahahaha Parang ngang si RALPHIE sa kanyang pag-unat2-with-grace step hahahahahahaha Only a suki from Government bar can do that! ^_~

Wag nating isali ang ate ko sa usapan *lol* Actually, Tackey's called HIDE-kun by close family and friends so tawagin ko na rin siyang Hide-kun no? what you think? HAHAHAHAHAHA

TREY, my other sister is very busy on her thesis too and just last night ay parang nagpajama party pa sila dito sa bahay.

Anyways, Snuffles and Loracyn both reported that its not really all *cry* *nosedrip* material, it was gonna be in 2 parts, 1st yung life ni Tackey and second, yung Tackey as we know him now.

Dithers!!!! YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!! I was dancing to the DVD too dead in the night!!! MUAHOHOHOHO!!!!! Initially i tot i will jus try and follow the hand actions... but then noticed the leg actions as well. Then without realising, stood up, kicked chair away and started dancing! HOHOHOHOHOHO!!!!!! And YES!!! Thou the furitsuke supposed to be considered easy already, i find difficulty coordinating my body too!! Always in a same-hand-same-leg situation. Terrible!!! And imagine T&T not only have to dance, but sing at the same time!! Taihen ne!!! They must be real pro at coordinating themselves. Erai ne!!

And that article made a mistake.

And all of you who calls yourself a Takki fan... YOU HAVE TO KNOW THIS!!!!

TAKIZAWA IS THE SURNAME YO!!!!!!!!!!

How can u all be unsure abt that???AIyayayaaa... yurusenai!!! *gives everyone an oshiri-penpen*

And eh Bonnie, surnames first aint weird. Just diff culture. Like how some Indians and Indonesians have no surnames. And Sikhs have clan names. Not everyone in the world follows the Western sys of names ya? Anyway Asians sometimes put surnames first too, depending on situation. =D Not sure if all Asian countries go by surname-first practice too...

And Mel... Heidi???????? LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Good try! XDDDDD

Oh but Japanese usually call eack other by surnames, unless they are on close terms. So when u call up a not-so-close classmate at his place... major confusion! Hahhaha...

"Can i speak to Imai-san?"

"We are ALL Imai desu!!"

LMAO.

Just a bit more on names...

Japanese didn't used to have surnames. But somewhere in history, they were made to adopt one. (The imperial family does not have surnames though. So Princess Aiko's name is really just Aiko.) The normal people being clueless, decided to use their surroundings as inspiration. That's why so many Japanese surnames contain kanji characters which stand for tree, river, mountain, upstream, marshes, etc.

Etc.
Yamashita = Base of mountain
Takagi = Tall trees
Mori = Forest
Kurokawa = Black river

And for our golden boy...

Taki = Waterfall
Zawa (sawa) = Mountain stream

Im not sure what Imai means, but Tsubasa means wings. Dakara, "Takki & Tsubasa" = "Waterfall & Wings". :)

Interesting desho?? And surnames not only hint about ancestors' homelands, but may also reveal things about that person's origin.

Eg.
Most "Abe" come from Tohoku Region.
Many "Suzuki" originated from a pretty rich clan.

So then anyway, if Takki wasn't born a Takizawa, then spoil my fantasy that he belongs to the samurai caste. Hahahah... cos the person who wrote Satomi Hakkenden was called Takizawa something. And he WAS a samurai. And we all know, not any Tom Dick Harry can just adopt a samurai surname in olden days. Maybe it's not possible at all. Not sure. So if Takki was born a Takizawa, HIGH CHANCE his ancestors were from the samurai caste. Heheh... you see, fangirls always think too much. LOLL~~~

yea, takizawa is the surname, over here, usually it's name first then surname. that's why in taiwan, they used to print his name as 'hideaki takizawa'. some of his friends call him hide-kun, like what tsubasa calls him rite? while tsubasa is tsuba's name, while imai is his surname, am i right?

i think the article made a mistake. it should be 'takizawa' instead of 'hideaki'.

haha, dithers & snuffles, i also have a problem coordinating the leg movements - the hands are pretty easy, but the furitsuke's leg movements seem a bit more complicated that it looks :)

wow.. that's very long snuffles.. you know a lot already. hhaha.. and doing the handmoves too?? hahah.. that's funny. i think every TxT fans doing it every single night.. I think for them to have a better sleep? hahah... so Takizawa is his surname, i'm bit confused when I read dithers' post last time.. haha.. haha..

YESSS!!!

Takizawa, Imai = surnames
Hideaki, Tsubasa = given names

Don't be confused just cos T&T's unit name is made up of Takki's surname and Tsubasa's given name. Ne?? Now every decent T&T fan, don't be confused anymore yo!!!

And Michelle, do we usually use given name in Singapore first?? No right? Depends what kinda names we are using actually. Say if i use my English name (like your 'Michelle').. it will be given name first of course. But if dialect name, then its surname first. Eurasian names, given names first. Malay and Indian names... no surnames!!! LOL~~~

And OMG Dithers!! i din realise the vid u put up was the Takki's part in the DVD! Aiyayaaa~~~~ Sore wa ihan janai desuka?? *whacks* People, be responsible fans and BUY THE SINGLE ne!!!

2:09 AM
Anonymous Anonymous said...

ya, i'm talking about english names, not dialect names.. ppl usually call me "michelle [surname]" and not "[surname] michelle" rite? keke... hahaha, ya, malay names are "[given name] [son of/daughter of] [dad's name]".. i'm not sure of indian names hahaha...

u know the entire DVD is ripped and up for download at LJ. was quite angry when i saw it but can't do anything.. the internet made is such a way ne... sigh.. but i bought all 3 versions so i've done my part, and i hope all true fans will buy the CDs!!!

But GOOD NEWS!!! HO!SAMA furitsuke ga ima dekimasu!!!! SNUFFLES-chan, MICHELLE, it can be done with a little more practice ^___^ (and some more watching of the furitsuke DVD). That 'shower' thing is really literal hahaha

So it is TAKIZAWA, the surname then. Ok, I think this time, the whole surname-first name thing will stick now (or we're getting more of that snuffles' oshiri-penpen---OUCH! XD) Thanks very much for that little discussion SNUFFLES-chan. Hopefully, this confusion be put to an end already. So Takizawa is from a SAMURAI clan? Maybe he was destined to belong to that ^^ How about that 'Sashida'? you know where it came from? I kept seeing that name mentioned on Bon-chan's, Michelle's blogs. And hahaha yes, it can be quite confusing if you follow that calling surnames to non-close friends and giving them a ring at home. Here in my country, we dont call each other surnames first (though sometimes we do when you call a friend or during rollcalls or when people are trying to be polite or formal, they say Ms.Takizawa or Ms.Imai XDDD) but really, we aren't that strict in culture. Maybe we've been too Western-influenced already so calling each other by first name is ok.

MICHELLE, it's great that you bought the CDs. It is a big help to TxT. I guess, we cant really control the proliferation of ripped materials online right? We can only hope that people will continuously support TxT by helping them sell singles and cds (and by NOT uploading those online when its just been released >,<).

TREY, I always sleep late unless Im really, really tired. HAHAHAHA. I do that privately in my room or when everybody's in theirs. Atleast, its yielding good results. Medyo kuha ko na hehehehe

gr8~ i'm ok with the shower, the hand movements and the starting verse with the hand/leg movements. the only remaining problem is the combination of hand+leg during the chorus furitsuke.. juz dunno which hand and which leg to move lolz. i need to go back and rewatch the dvd again haha...

all along, i thot sashida was the birth name, and takizawa was his 'stage name'. it turns out...

SAMA HO! SAMA.. muka daw akong engot. gumawa n lng daw akong thesis...
